Casual tournament of Fantasy Flight's X-Wing miniatures game. 100 points a squad. Swiss rounds, standard rules. Prizes TBA. Must provide your own ships. Please bring 3x3 game mats if you have them.
Description:
This will be a casual tournament, meaning newer players are welcome and encouraged. This is not a sanctioned event. Glory and a ship are the likely prize to the winner. You will have to provide your own 100 point single faction squad of ships. Standard Fantasy Flight tourney rules. Swiss rounds, so everybody who joins will get at least three games worth of play. Depending on scoring and time there will likely be a playoff round between the top two scorers. We are running this event on Sunday specifically because other than the dealer hall, there typically aren't a lot of events going on the last day. We should have plenty of room, so come join us and finish off Gen Con 2016 with a pew pew and kaboom!
X-Wing meets cut throat "last ship flying" rules with surprises. 21pts per player, single small base ship, no named pilots, no starting upgrades. Please bring your own ships.
Description:
You’ve probably all either read, seen, or at least heard of The Hunger Games. This will be a lot like that, but using FFG X-Wing miniatures. Players all start with 21 points towards a single, small base ship with an unnamed generic pilot from any of X-Wings three factions, with no starting upgrades. There will be various upgrades obtainable during the game through various means, as well as some unexpected twists and surprises at the discretion of the Game Maker. Upgrades obtained in-game do not necessarily have to be things that would work in the standard rules. Turbo laser turret and two shield generators on a TIE Interceptor? It could happen. Last ship still flying wins. Be prepared for anything, and may the Force be ever in your favor. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHIPS AND PILOT CARDS.
100pt Swiss rounds. Squad lists & ships MUST be provided. Friendly tourney, but rules will NOT be taught & ships will NOT be provided. Unprepared players NOT accepted.
Description:
This will be a casual tourney put on by Fight In The Skies Society. A nice way to wrap up your Gen Con and get a few friendly games in. If you didn’t make finals in the official tourney, or didn’t get into said tourney at all, or just want something to do other than look at the dealer hall on Sunday, come on out and play. As stated in the short description no materials will be provided. Please have your squad lists ready and if you can please bring an extra play mat. I will be taping off play space just in case, but I’m sure we all prefer playing on mats if possible. All ships and current rules shall be legal. NO SHIPS OR MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED. Yes I stated that twice. Prizes TBD
