2009 Star Wars Miniatures U.S. National Championship
Description:
The Main Event! 150 point DCI tournament using figures from all expansions. Current tournament and floor and faction rules appy. Tournament will be Swiss rounds depending on the number of participants. Final eight players will play off the at a time specified the following day. This is your chance to be the U.S. National Champion. A trophy and a laptop to 1st! An iPod Touch to 2nd and additional prizes to the Top 8
80 player. 5 round swiss. Bring a 500 point Heroscape (no Marvel) army that does not exceed 24 hexes. The tournament is played in one hour rounds. Top 16 players advance to Day 2. Advancing players will be allowed to add reinforcements to their existing army. At the end of Day 1, a Battle die will be rolled to determine the new point value for Day 2 armies. The Day 2 army point total will be 575 for a skull, 600 for a shield, or 640 for a symbol
Players qualify in Day 1 event, 16 positions. Single elimination with consolation match. Qualifying players will be notified of the point total prior to this event. Players bring their pre-drafted Heroscape army from Day 1 with reinforcements. Reinforced army can not exceed 24 hexes. The tournament is played in 75 minute rounds using 3rd edition rules. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top 4 finishers. All Day 2 players receive a prize.

Players bring order markers, wound markers, dice, cards, and a pre-drafted 450 point Heroscape (no Marvel) army that MUST include a Large/Huge Unique Hero and does not exceed 24 hexes. Players can win by destroying or "gaining control of" their opponent's highest points valued Large/Huge Hero. The tournament is played in one hour rounds using 3rd edition rules. Prizes awarded to the top 4.
32 positions. 5 round swiss with no final. Players bring a pre-drafted 400 point Heroscape (no Marvel) army that does not exceed 24 hexes. Each player will have a Glyph to defend just outside of their start zone, and can win by ending a turn with one of their figures un-engaged and on the opponent’s Glyph. Player’s can move their figures onto their own glyph to defend it. one hour rounds. Prizes awarded to the top 3 finishers.

Players can win by destroying or "gaining control of" their opponent's highest points valued Dragon. The tournament is played in one hour rounds using 3rd edition rules. 64 positions. 5 round swiss style tournament with no final. Players bring order markers, wound markers, dice, cards, and a pre-drafted 500 point Heroscape (no Marvel) army that does not exceed 24 hexes. All Army Cards MUST be from the same Valkyrie General. The tournament is played in one hour rounds using 3rd edition rules. The highest ranked player for each General class wins prizes.

There are no starting zones; players will take turns placing one card’s worth of units anywhere on the battlefield except on glyphs until all figures are placed. Tournament is played in one hour rounds. Prizes awarded to the top four finishers.

Choose two characters from any expansion that equal "exactly" 100 points, faction rules apply. All 100 point maps are legal for this event. Prize support will be for all players with undefeated records or only 1 loss.

200 point tournament using figures from all expansions, faction rules apply. DCI 200 point maps are legal for this event. Tournament will be 4 rounds of Swiss with prize support for all players with undefeated records or only 1 loss. This tournament will also be the second leg of the "Jedi Challenge", which is a three tournament series.
Limited to twelve players. Join the fight of the Rebel force on Planet Hoth. Each player will score points as they destroy as much of the Imperial force as possible . Prize support will be for the top three players. Hoth maps from the AT-AT Colossal pack will be used. All figures will be provided for this event.
