An overview of some materials used to make interesting bases for miniature figures - textured styrene or rubber stamps for quick cobblestone, brick or tile bases; greenstuff putty and alternatives to make your own textures; dealing with built-in bases; materials to use for rocks, flowers, plants, snow, etc; useful tools and glues for basing. Practice bases are provided, and students receive samples of a dozen or so basing materials to take home.
