Operation Husky - The Invasion of Sicily July 9-10, 1943

Beach assaults, Para Drops, & Glider Landings will be the featured components of this exciting World War II scenario game. See if you can match the historical results or change history!
Description:
In honor of the 80th anniversary of Operation Husky the Allied invasion of Sicily in 1943, The Event will be broken down into 3 sections of 4 players each. Section #1 American forces under General Patton vs. the1st Fallschirm-Panzer Division Hermann Göring. This will be a beach landing with an airborne para drop and glider landings. Section #2 has the British under General Montgomery doing a beach landing facing off against the Italian Coastal defense forces. Section #3 will focus around the Primosole Bridge eading up to Messina. Here we find the British airborne units dropping in to try and secure the bridge while German Fallschirmjäger units trying to keep the bridge in Axis hands. While all three sections will be played simultaneously, they will not be directly interacting with each other and each area will have its own set of objectives & OBs.
