Learn about the science behind paint pouring with local artist Summer in a fun environment, & create two or three unique works of art, using two distinct methods. *May be a bit messy*
Description:
Summer will explain why & how paint density/specific gravity are the key to creating fluid art, & what happens when hydrophobic liquids are introduced. Then, it will be your turn to give it a whirl! Choose from 3-5 different colors, add a paint medium (or not), & follow through with the technique of your choice. There will be two or three canvases provided. I will have aprons available, but this class will use a lot of paint, so please keep that in mind.

Mix your own henna paste using PPD-free, BROWN henna powder, & water infused with coffee, cloves, lemon juice. Make your own cone, & learn basic techniques and designs, with plenty left over!
Description:
Henna/Mendhi temporary tattoos have deep symbolism and rich history in eastern Asia. In this class, you will learn what ingredients go into the paste and mix it yourself, learn to make a cone for application, and how to store it when not in use. Summer explain basic tips for deeper coloration, care, and designs. There will be plenty of time for practice, application, and leftover time to sit at the table and let the henna dry/set. This will leave a TEMPORARY tattoo, lasting 3 days-2 weeks. ***If you have skin allergies, disease, or discomfort on your hands or arms, this is not the class for you. This also applies for those with shaky, tremulous hands. Age requirement is just a suggestion, so teenagers under 18 with an adult may attend, but must be able to focus.***
