2038 is a space exploration and mining game based on the 18xx concept of corporate ownership. Players can purchase shares in various mining companies, with the majority holder running the company's mining operations. Unlike the 18xx games, there is a small element of randomness that comes through the exploration of space, as resources are randomly uncovered during the placement of new hexes.
