A dedicated group of guards called the Duskwardens is responsible for protecting Kaer Magans and visitors alike from everything that lurks below. Despite the Duskwardens' best efforts, the influence of one of the vaults has been spreading on to the streets of Kaer Maga. It falls to a group Pathfinder Society agents to navigate the factions of Kaer Maga to access and strike at the heart of the lurking threat.

Rulers in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings assume power after slaying a draconic linnorms inhabiting the region. Centuries ago, one returned with the head of the local king instead of a linnorm. The lone witness accused the warrior of Irriseni witchcraft, leading to the warrior's execution. Not all believe these tales. One of the warrior’s descendants, an Ulfen Guard of Taldor, offered intelligence that could shape Taldor's future in exchange for exonerating his ancestor. It's up to the PCs to solve the ancient murder mystery, though there's far more at stake than honor.
