The tools of the Action Adventure hero can be as signature as the characters themselves. We will demonstrate methods of research and preparation, sculpting, machining, and parts bashing new swords and firearms for your adventurer. Sculpting for both single conversion and casting will be discussed. A take-home package containing a handout, sample weapon, some materials, and a sculpting tool will be provided.
We look at other people’s faces all the time, and we read great depths of emotion through changes in facial features. Veteran painter Derek Schubert will share his insights into painting expressive faces on miniatures. Topics include understanding real faces, choosing expressions, making minor conversions, painting different types of faces, and painting eyes. Mostly Demonstration/Q&A, with some instructor critique and feedback available.
