To kill some time (and earn some coin) while they wait, they agree to investigate a newly unearthed series of tunnels and chambers found in the Penfold Mines. What could possibly go wrong?

Having been tried and sentenced to Ahriman's Spire, all that remains is to transport the Darkh to BlackShackle to begin his sentence. Camilla Roth-Hartwell, owner and operator of Roth-Hartwell Retrievals, has retrieved someone... or something... that has made her the target of the Darkh, a cunning (and successful) assassin. None of her usual contacts can, or will, help her, driving her to hire a group of down-on-their-luck ne'er-do-wells to protect her until she can arrange the sale of whatever started this mess.
