This short map-making game was adapted from The Quiet Year by Mark Diaz Truman and Avery Alder by an 8-year-old, for 8-year-olds. It focuses on mysteries, creativity, taking turns and listening, and most importantly building on other player's ideas to create a magical place together. Prior to the start of the game, the humans came and destroyed the forest that you live in. You and your remaining fellow monsters must rebuild your lairs, discover what the the humans left behind, and try to discover more monsters on the way to rebuilding your forest community. The humans come back once the game is over and you need to be prepared!
