An open gaming event for small press and independent games. The event is organized by friendly volunteers and designers who will help you match your interests to a GM ready to go with an awesome game.
Description:
This is an open gaming event that gives you the opportunity to drop by and play - or run! - new and exciting games throughout the show. The event is organized and run by friendly volunteers and serves as a showcase for small press and independent games, such as Fiasco, Dungeon World, Mouse Guard, Lady Blackbird, Dresden Files, and many others you may not have heard about yet. No worries! The “on demand” part means that we’ll help you match your interests to a GM who is prepped and ready to go with just the right game. Once the match-making is over, you'll have a chance to try something new and fun. For many of those games we’ll also have the designers hanging out from time to time, so if you want to play with them or pick their brain, this is the place to be.
The Play’s The Thing is a storytelling game about actors who want to rewrite the Shakespearean roles they’ve been given.
Description:
You and your friends tell the story of an acting troupe that is scheduled to perform a new play, but has a lot of disagreements about how that play should go. While the Playwright might present you with a classic Shakespearean folio, you’ll use your imagination and wit to craft new events and excitement in old stories. In The Play’s The Thing, one player takes on the role of the Playwright, the writer and director of the Play, and the rest of you portray Actors (Hams, Leads, Villains, and Ingenues) who are cast in roles. As you work your way through the Acts of the Play, you’ll suggest changes that the Playwright has to incorporate into the work, making The Bard’s stories even better.
In this GM-less RPG, players take on the role of powerful, godlike beings known as The Vast.
Description:
In Eternity, players take on the role of powerful, godlike beings known as The Vast. These creatures, lording over entire planets, are constrained only by their Attachments, metaphysical ties that grow stronger each time The Vast use their amazing powers. As a Vast’s Attachment to a specific concept or idea increases, she must act carefully to respect the rules of the Attachment, her hands tied by the power she wields.
