The rules for competitive campaigns are described in the Competitive Campaign Guide and in the Scenario-Based Campaign rules for AE-WWII. Players bring a single detachment or crew to compete against each other in a three scenario-based tree campaign. Competitive Campaigns are designed to run with between 6 and 14 participants. At least two event coordinators will be present to help run each of the competitive campaigns.
The goal of a team battle is to support a great cause. A Team Battle event requires each player brings their best single detachment or crew and does not have to follow an Axis vs. Allies format. Team battles last for 2 hours The Team that has secured the most objectives and/or eliminated more members of the opposing team in 90 minutes of play is the winning team. “Proxies” and “Counts-As” models must be clearly noted before play begins.
Lightning War is intense skirmish scale tactical gaming for tank and vehicle detachments in AE-WWII. Only tank detachments and detachments with one or more vehicles may participate in a Lightning War event. Lightning War is designed to reward experienced gamers with interesting tactical objectives and timed 7.5 minute (7 minutes 30 seconds) game turns. This means that a single six (6) turn game of AE-WWII should require 45 minutes.
Secret Wars are special events dreamed up by the Darkson Crew. These events are limited to a maximum of 12 people and will be held later at night so that most of the Crew can attend. Bring your best two detachments to have fun in a surprise two scenario AE-WWII campaign.
