Ryotu has failed in his attempt to overthrow his liege, Kesmehn Khan. The Khan expectedly ordered Ryotu's death, but he escaped to the castle of his remaing supporters, and the home of his sorceror friend, Qu'an Zenobi. Most of the Khan's men aren't known to show coverage against magic; so you, a group of powerful, loyal subjects, have been given the task of penetrating Ryotu's castle and bringing his head back to the Khan, along with that of Qu'an. One place does the name of the forest proper credit, however: a fell keep and tower, avoided even by the wild elves of the forest, and rumored to contain ancient, well guarded treasure.
