The rules will not be taught, so you should have experience playing the game before. However, the environment will be casual enough so even if you are very rusty, players will happily help you! We will also have at least one ARDA game with absolutely no virtual cards (except the Wizards).
As a warm up to the Gen Con Middle-Earth CCG festivities, a one-deck Challenge Deck tournament will be held. Each player will get a randomly-selected Challenge Deck, to be returned at the end of the tournament. Council of Lorien sanctioned. CRF 15
Didn't make the finals in the North American Championships? No problem! Come have fun in a booster draft tournament at the same time. Each player will get a ME:TW starter along with two boosters of ME:TW and two boosters of ME:TD. Sites will be drafted, but regions will not. One-deck rounds. Council of Lorien sanctioned. CRF 15
Come play a few sealed-deck games of the greatest Tolkien-themed CCG of all time. This event will be a Swiss-style tournament where each player will receive a starter and two boosters of Middle-Earth: The Lidless Eye cards with the price of the event. Come compete for a chance to win a replica of The One Ring, along with an automatic spot in the MECCG World Championships in Europe in 2006! This is the qualifying round, and is open to all comers.
