Summary:
Adam Koebel, Luke Crane & Radek Drozdalski take you on a tour of the unholy marriage of metal & rad RPGs. Metal shall be played—dragons shall be slain!
An ogre & his raiders have stolen the village's harvest & kidnapped some people, taking it all to a demon-haunted mine. Will you dare the forbidden mine?
Description:
Snow falls from darkening skies in the village of Stenby. The village’s stockpiles of food are gone along with several of its people—stolen by the Ogre of Whelcrag and his raiders. They came three days ago during the Harvest Festival, slaying and burning until they had claimed all they could carry. The survivors could only watch in mute horror as the raiders retreated into the hills to the ogre’s lair: the cursed mine of Whelcrag. The raiders took the villagers’ food stores with them, along with several villagers and Fenna Stonehand, a paladin visiting for the festival. Pleas to the earl’s steward for aid have gone unanswered. The villagers will need help if they are to survive the winter. Will you enter the demon-haunted mine to rescue the villagers and steal back the food?

How do you hold down a job, maintain a life and self-publish games?
Description:
I've been making and publishing games for 13 years. For all but 3 of those years, I held down an unrelated job in addition to other responsibilities. Over those 13 years I managed to produce over 15 titles. Sometimes at a rate of two a year. Staying productive and focused is nearly impossible in the face of Xbox, Netflix, HBO, movies, comics, ipads and legions of other distractions. But somehow we manage to do it. Let me share some of my tips and tricks with you—in addition to variety of dire warnings.

These people dedicate their time and expertise to making games at little or no cost. What does a game truly cost once you factor in their value to the process? What does this say about how we value the games we love so much?
