Suddenly, a van splashes you as it races by, too fast to flag down. Lightning splits the sky, and you would swear you saw the glint of... rhinestones? Meanwhile, many miles away, something crawls to the surface of a dark Scottish loch… You press on, hoping to find shelter, for what could be worse than being caught in the wilderness on a dark and stormy night? Suddenly a lantern appears out of the darkness, then a gate, a tower... a castle. Is it safe? Someone thinks so, for there seem to be other travelers arriving at the door. Join us for a plot-driven LARP that diverges from the book and asks “What if...?” Familiarity with Frank Herbert’s setting is strongly recommended. You don't need to memorize the story, but if you can’t tell a sandworm from a Sardaukar, you should read Dune (or watch the movie or mini-series). Out of the blue, the owners’ daughter, a big Hollywood star, telephoned with a plan to save the Inn. She and her husband would broadcast a live radio show from the mountain resort. Now it is Christmas Eve, and many guests have arrived for the big show. A great Christmas tale is in the making, and like any cherished Yuletide story, it’s not about presents, or snow, or even about sipping warm cider by the fire. It’s about memories, and people, and the things they bring with them. Join us for an evening of chills inspired by the haunting music of Midnight Syndicate.
