Once at the Market, your historic tour will take you underneath the City Market to the Catacombs. Our Catacombs don’t have bones or crypts, but feature scores of brick barrel-vaulted arches and are the Roman-looking underground remains of Tomlinson Hall, built in 1886 and destroyed by fire in 1958. Please note that the Catacombs feature a damp basement environment and a rough uneven dirt floor. The tour is not navigable for guests with walkers, canes, strollers, or wheelchairs, and the Catacombs are not handicapped accessible. Indianapolis turns to spiritualism, which promises contact beyond the veil. Believers form a spiritualism society, but forces threaten them. At historic Morris-Butler House. Transportation provided.
Description:
It's been 20 years since the end of the Civil War. To endure the losses and trials it inflicted, many have turned to the power of spiritualism, a movement that promises them contact with those who have passed beyond the veil. In Indianapolis, believers will meet to discuss forming a society devoted to spiritualism. They have invited representatives from the Ghost Club in London and the new American Society for Psychical Research in Boston but forces within and without may threaten the society before it's even founded. Because when you open a door, you never know who...or what... may come in. LARP takes place at the restored 1865 Morris Butler House. Transportation provided. Light refreshments will be served.
