Tribal Rumble - Creature Type Challenge 2022 Round 1
Summary:
30 card singleton, legacy, tribal, commons and uncommons only, 18 spells, 12 lands: test your might with a selection of all-different M:tG tribes and guide your chosen creature type to victory.
Description:
The older the card, the better: creature types from all tournament-legal sets are legal here, and while we provide the decks, we also teach the fundamentals of this brand new format. Makes commons and uncommons the new rares and mythics: if you ever had a card you loved and just couldn't fit it into an existing format, here is its new home. This format makes cards that would typically make a splash in sealed and would only cost you the game in constructed actually matter. Lower rarity makes riffle shuffling encouraged. Decks will be provided. First come, first serve of creature type to play with and against. Beginner friendly: early turns are easier to understand, later turns are suitably complex for veteran players. Not a tournament: this is a celebration and exploration of Magic: the Gathering's extensive creature list. Late arrival-friendly, although you may be stuck playing homarids

Description:
The pangolins, goats, and homarids all made short work of your deck, but you managed to squeak by through winning against two other players' decks. Congratulations! You qualified for the championship event to pit the winning decks against one another in a round robin to see which player's chosen creature type is number 1. The format is the same: 30 card singleton, legacy, tribal, commons and uncommons only, 18 spells, 12 lands, using any of the qualifying decks that you used in any one of the three challenge rounds. This is the ultimate test of your prowess and endurance as winning here will cement you and your chosen creature type's legacy as the winner of the GEN CON 2022 CREATURE TYPE CHAMPIONSHIP
