Long Description:
True Dungeon is a d20 variant that allows players to experience a D&D adventure within a life-size, walk-through dungeon environment. Not a LARP, True Dungeon focuses instead on problem solving, teamwork and tactics while providing exciting sets and interactive props. No role-playing is required, but good opportunities will exist for those who wish to do so. The event features many new improvements including realistic 3D stone walls, dedicated 5.1 surround sound in each room, better lighting, camo-net ceilings, and better event and module design. We have also added the Druid and Monk as an available character class. This year is the start of a 3-year story arc that involves the plans of Uiz to conquer the city of Greyhawk with the aid of a certain spider demoness. The fun starts inside a cool fantasy tavern where players prep for their adventure and talk with NPCs. They will then enter a full-size dungeon where they get to experience challenging combat, perplexing puzzles and quintessential D&D moments (like searching for secret doors or disarming a trap). The price of your ticket includes entrance into one dungeon adventure, FREE admission into the Fantasy Tavern on the day of your event ($3 value), and a FREE bag of cool Treasure Tokens ($10 value). The fantasy tavern will be open to all Gen Con gamers so be sure to stop by the event area at the Marriott anytime! Soda (and a full-service cash bar) will be available to make your tavern experience complete. Come by and hang out with some gaming buddies... it's a great place to swap gaming stories. Due to the extreme environment of the adventure, all players are required to sign a waiver or have a parent/guardian sign if the player is under 18. No one under 13 years of age will be allowed into the event. IMPORTANT NOTE: Players must arrive 10 minutes ahead of your scheduled start time.
