Long Description:
Horror has long been a genre of storytelling used to explore themes of fear, power, and justice. This seminar seeks to empower underrepresented voices in horror, allowing participants to gain a better understanding of how to recognize and utilize their voices in the genre. Through presentation and interactive discussion, we will explore how horror can be used to examine and challenge issues of inequity and injustice. Participants will be encouraged to share their ideas and perspectives on how horror can be used to amplify the stories of those who have previously been underrepresented in the genre. Those attending will leave the seminar with a better understanding of how to create and use their talents to bring about meaningful change.
